Description
Jamie Montgomery uses milk only from his family’s herd of Friesian cows to make his cheese. Cheese is a family affair and the Montgomery’s have been making cheese since before 1911, when Jamie’s grandfather retired. Montgomery’s cheddar has a fantastic reputation. It is handmade and is one of the last remaining traditional, unpasteurised, artisan Somerset Cheddars.
It has a complex, nutty taste and a slight crumbly texture. As this is cheddar is handmade and artisan it may contain blue veins, which are naturally occurring.
